Trecaso, Ralph E. Endowed Scholarship in Accounting

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established in November 2024 to offer financial support to students at The University of Akron's College of Business George W. Daverio School of Accountancy.

A native of Akron, Ohio, and a graduate of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, Ralph E. Trecaso received his B.S. in Accounting from The University of Akron in 1983 and currently serves as co­founder, managing director, and family wealth advisor for Wells Trecaso Financial Group. Before co-founding Wells Trecaso, Ralph was a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley and UBS/Pain Webber. With more than 32 years of experience in the financial service industry, Ralph has helped his clients implement sound wealth management strategies and comprehensive financial planning.

An active community volunteer and supporter, Ralph is a member of The Bluecoats and the Northern Ohio Italian Association and former chair of the executive board of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He is also a current member and past president of the Italian American Professional & Businessman's Club, where he serves as co-chair of the annual Viva La Panza Fundraising and networking event.

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting shall be awarded annually, as funds are available, to deserving full- or part-time University of Akron students pursuing a degree in the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy. Candidates eligible for consideration shall have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be entering their sophomore year. Recipients will be selected by the University Scholarship Committee in the Office of Student Financial Aid.

The scholarship's intent is to help with the cost of tuition and fees for students pursuing a career in accounting.

The Ralph E. Trecaso Endowed Scholarship in Accounting was established as part of We Rise Together, the Campaign for The University of Akron.
