Deloitte & Touche John P. Brown Memorial Scholarship
The Deloitte & Touche John P. Brown Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 by Deloitte & Touche LLP and the family of John P. Brown to honor his memory. John P. Brown graduated from The University of Akron in 1991 with a BS in accounting and joined Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he became a senior accountant. He was an active member of the Delta Sigma Pi (Business) Fraternity. This endowed scholarship is to be based on merit and awarded annually to an exceptional student majoring, or with a stated intent to major, in accounting and is renewable. Selection of the recipient will be determined by the chairperson of the George W. Daverio School of Accountancy, with a preference given to freshmen or sophomores.
