The endowed Norman P. Auburn Scholarship in Legal Studies was created by University of Akron President Emeritus Dr. Norman P. Auburn who, with C. Blake McDowell Sr., was responsible for bringing the School of Law to The University of Akron in 1959. The annual award or awards are to be made upon the recommendation of the dean of the School of Law.
