Kamenir, Dr. Irvin M. Endowed Scholarship for the College of Nursing
The Dr. Irvin M. Kamenir Endowed Scholarship for the College of Nursing was created in 2006. Dr. Kamenir graduated in 1988 from The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration, receiving an MBA. He also received degrees from Kent State University, The Ohio State University, and Columbia University. Dr. Kamenir practiced dentistry in the Akron area for most of his career, specializing in orthodontics. With this scholarship, Dr. Kamenir wishes to honor those in the nursing profession for their kind and caring spirit.
Recipients must be enrolled full time at The University of Akron’s College of Nursing. Preference will be given to students from disadvantaged backgrounds with demonstrated financial need. Decisions will be made by the College of Nursing’s Scholarship Committee in conjunction with Student Financial Aid.
